Gian Luca Romani

Professor Emeritus at the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara

Since 1987 Romani has been working at the University “G. d’Annunzio” as full professor of Physics. He retired in 2017 and in 2018 was appointed as Professor Emeritus by the Ministry of University and Research. Since Dec 2018 he is acting as the Rector Delegate for Research.

Romani has published 398 papers (h.index 60 – Scopus). His research has focused on the study of the human brain by means of multimodal, functional neuroimaging, with specific regards to the investigation of brain connectivity.

Romani has been national coordinator in numerous international and European projects and, in 2018, he succeeded in obtaining an ERC-SYNERGY grant by the ConnectToBrain project, carried on together with Risto Ilmoniemi (Finland) and Ulf Ziemann (Germany).
